“Strengthened by Yahuah” — Righteous Reforming King of Yahuḏah & Champion of the Temple of Shelomoh

🧭 Identity & Royal Commission

Chizqiyahu ben Ahaz was the 13th sovereign of the Southern Kingdom of Yahuḏah, reigning for 29 years in Yerushalayim. Unlike his apostate father Ahaz, Chizqiyahu clung wholeheartedly to Yahuah, doing that which was right in His eyes according to all that his father Dawiḏ did (2 Melakim 18:3).

  • The Smashed Relic (2 Melakim 18:4): He shattered the high places, cut down the Asherah groves, and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Mosheh had made (Nehushtan), because the children of Yisra’ĕl had burned incense to it.
  • The Siloam Bedrock Aqueduct (2 Melakim 20:20): To fortify the holy city against Assyria, he diverted the Gihon Spring through a 1,750-foot subterranean channel into the Pool of Siloam within the walls of Yerushalayim.
  • The Celestial Victory (Yeshayahu 37:36): When Sennacherib threatened total eradication, Chizqiyahu spread the blasphemous letter before Yahuah. A single Malak went forth and executed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in a single night.
  • The Messianic Legacy: Under his royal patronage and crisis, the prophet Yeshayahu authored the supreme oracles of the Kinsman Redeemer (Yeshayahu 53).
