Reversing the Tongue Spell — Reclaiming Words for Righteousness

✦ “For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.” – Matthew 12:37 ✦

Section One

The serpent has twisted the tongue of men.

What was once a vessel of praise has become a pipeline of perversion. Curses now pass as compliments. Double meanings disguise darkness. Common expressions are layered in deceit—repeating Babylon’s spell without knowledge.

But the tongue can be redeemed.

We are not called to silence—we are called to reverse the curse.

This is not about inventing a new language, but about restoring speech to its rightful place: truth-bearing, life-speaking, covenant-keeping.

To reclaim our authority, we must speak on purpose, not by default.

Section Two

How do we reverse the tongue spell?

  1. Identify corrupted phrases – anything rooted in paganism, death, mockery, or falsehood.
  2. Replace them with set-apart speech – restore blessing, honor, clarity, and truth to everyday conversation.
  3. Avoid idle speech – words with no purpose open doors to manipulation.
  4. Speak Scripture aloud – not only for memory, but to reprogram the spiritual atmosphere around you.
  5. Guard the gate – what you hear, you may eventually say. Guard your ears to guard your mouth.

Speak like one who carries scrolls.

Walk like one who has tasted the pure language to come.

For the tongue of the righteous is a tree of life.

Closing Reflection

This is a time to rename, reclaim, and re-speak.

The spell is undone every time we resist mimicry and speak from the heart of the Father.

May every word be clean.

May every sentence carry light.

And may our tongues become swords of truth once again.
