The Spirit Behind Islam
✦ *“They provoked Me to jealousy with what is not El; they moved Me to wrath with their worthless idols.” – Deuteronomy 32:21 ✦
Section One – The Seed of Ishmael: A Covenant Not Chosen
Before the birth of Islam, the seeds of division were already planted. Ishmael, son of Abraham through Hagar, was not chosen for the covenant of promise. Yet he was not forsaken—he was blessed to become a great nation (Genesis 17:20). But this was a separate path, not the covenant that would carry the lineage of truth.
Islam roots itself in the claim that Abraham was a prophet of their system—but the spirit that governs it does not follow the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, it mirrors a wandering son turned ruler, drawing from a legacy that was never given spiritual authority.
✦
Section Two – The Name “Allah”: Tracing the Tongue of the Moon God
The name “Allah” is not the Hebrew El, nor the set-apart Name Yahuah. Long before Islam, the Arabs worshipped a high deity among a pantheon—al-Ilah, “the god.” This evolved into Allah, a title that absorbed the former moon god of Mecca.
The crescent moon, still a symbol atop mosques and Islamic flags, is no accident. It is the ancient remnant of a pre-Islamic moon cult, rebranded under monotheism. The people were told it was the same as the “God of Abraham”—yet the name was changed, the character altered, and the attributes twisted.
✦
Section Three – Muhammad: The Prophet and the Seal of a New Religion
Muhammad claimed to be the “Seal of the Prophets,” delivering the Qur’an as a final revelation. But the spirit that overshadowed him brought forth visions with conflicting messages—some of which he recanted, such as the infamous Satanic Verses (Surah an-Najm).
The Qur’an quotes fragments of Scripture, parables, and moral codes—but rearranged under a new rulership. What was once forbidden became permitted; what was once holy became redefined. The true Name of the Most High was never once spoken in the Qur’an. Why?
Because the Ruach HaQodesh was not its author.
✦
Section Four – Mecca, the Kaaba, and the Worship of the Black Stone
Every year, Muslims face Mecca to pray and make pilgrimage to the Kaaba. Inside lies the Black Stone, kissed and revered as sacred. Its origin? Pre-Islamic pagan worship—possibly a meteorite—once associated with fertility rites and astral cults.
This is not the dwelling place of Yahuah. The Torah warned against graven stones and building altars of polished rock. Yet the Kaaba stands at the center of Islamic ritual, surrounded by seven circles of men—mimicking heavenly patterns but void of the Ruach.
✦
Section Five – Embedded Systems of Fear and Allegiance
The strength of Islam is not in its truth, but in its absolute structure. Apostasy is punished. Inquiry is shamed. The Arabic language is held superior. Prayers are memorized in a tongue many do not understand. Love is offered conditionally—if one obeys and submits.
This is not the freedom of sons, but the burden of slaves.
Those who question the system are often met with exile, dishonor, or death. The spirit behind it is not merely cultural—it is spiritual bondage dressed in piety.
✦
Section Six – Not All Are Deceived: The Seed of the Truth-Seeker Within
Yet even among them, there are those whose spirits yearn for truth. They are bound in the body of Islam, but their soul is crying out. Some have seen dreams of Yahusha. Others have felt discomfort during prayer. These are the ones we are called to reach—not to argue, but to awaken.
They do not need mockery. They need light.
And we must be ready to show them the Name, the Covenant, the Messiah, and the hope that sets captives free—not with condemnation, but with the boldness of love.
✦
Closing Reflection
Islam is not merely a religion—it is a veil.
Behind the teachings, the rituals, and the prayers is a spiritual mimicry that cloaks itself in submission, while hiding the Name of Yahuah and denying the Son. This scroll was not written to condemn the people, but to expose the principality that deceived them.
To rescue them, we must understand what binds them, walk in discernment, and carry the Sword of Truth—dividing soul and spirit.
