Azaz’ĕl (Azazel) - The Corrupter of Metallurgy and Chief Fallen Watcher

Forensic Identification

Paleo-Hebraic Identity: Azaz’ĕl (עֲזָאזֵל - meaning “Fierce/Arrogant against Elohim” or “The Goat of Departure”). Chief Watcher alongside Shemihazah (1 Ḥanoḵ 6:7, 8:1–3). Courtroom Indictment: Charged with teaching mankind metallurgy, warfare, vanity cosmetics, and the cutting of roots (1 Ḥanoḵ 8:1).

In 1 Ḥanoḵ 10:4–8, Yahuah commanded the Archangel Repha’ĕl: “Bind Azaz’ĕl hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the wilderness, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein… And on the day of the great judgment he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the messengers have defiled… and to him ascribe all sin.”

2. The Yom Kippurim Typology (Wayyiqra 16)

On the Day of Atonement, the high priest cast lots over two goats: one for Yahuah (slain for the cleansing of the sanctuary) and one “for Azaz’ĕl” (La’Azaz’ĕl). The high priest placed all the confessed transgressions of Yisra’ĕl upon the head of the live goat and banished it into the wilderness of Dudael, prophetically returning the defilement of sin upon its originating angelic author.
