Yereḏ (Jared) - The Patriarch in Whose Days the Watchers Descended

Forensic Identification

Paleo-Hebraic Identity: Yereḏ (יֶרֶד - meaning “Descent”, from the root Yarad - to come down). Sixth generation from Aḏam, father of Ḥanoḵ (Berĕshith 5:15–20, Yoḇelim 4:15). Chronological Epoch: Born in Year 460 AM; lived 962 years as a righteous steward of the antediluvian priesthood.

1. The Prophetic Naming and the Descent

Yoḇelim 4:15 records: “For in his days the messengers of Yahuah descended upon the earth, those who are named The Watchers, that they should instruct the children of men, and that they should do judgment and uprightness on the earth.” Because of this physical descent upon Mount Hermon, he was named Yereḏ (Descent).

2. Passing the Pristine Record to Ḥanoḵ

Yereḏ maintained the uncorrupted seedline of Shĕth, guarding the sacred calendar and oral depositions of Aḏam before committing them to his son Ḥanoḵ, whom Yahuah took into the heavenly courts.
